Turkish Embassy Islamabad

Turkey quickly recognized Pakistan as an independent state right after its inception in 1947. It offers complete support as a brotherly nation and successfully bid for Pakistan to become a member of the United Nation. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were started in 1948 with the establishment of the first embassy, Turkish Embassy Karachi, which was the capital of Pakistan at that time. Currently, the Turkish Embassy Islamabad is the official building for all sorts of communication between Turkey and Pakistan. 

Turkey gives special importance to Pakistan and appointed Yahya Kemal Beyalti; a renowned poet of that time, as the first ambassador to Pakistan. Turkey Embassy Islamabad is functional till date without any interruption. The embassy is also involved in promoting the brotherly relationship between the countries by organizing in different educational and extracurricular activities. 

In August 2004, the construction for Ambassador’s residence and Embassy’s Chancellery is completed. It is now used and owned by the Turkish state. The construction was done by Turkish company; STFA and the chief architect to design the buildings was Hasan Özbay.

1972: Turkish Embassy shifted from Rawalpindi to Islamabad

2004: Turkish Embassy moved to its current building

Turkey Embassy Islamabad:

The turkey embassy in Pakistan is in the capital city of Islamabad. It has the jurisdiction to operate for all regions that fall under the state of Pakistan. The region that comes under the jurisdiction of the consular office is all over Pakistan except the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. These two provinces come under the legal authority of the Turkish consulate Karachi. 

Office of the Counselor for Commercial Affair, Office of the Educational Counselor, Office of the Armed Forces Attaché, Office of the Armed Forces Attaché operating within the Embassy. 

Turkey visa for Pakistan is issued by the embassy but the embassy is not directly receiving the applications. Turkish Consulate Karachi:

The Turkish embassy Karachi was shifted in 1967 and it was replaced with Turkish consulate Karachi which has the responsibilities for the region of Sindh and Balochistan. The consulate already mentioned on the website that visa application can only be made through visa application centers.

Turkey consulate Karachi is responsible for Balochistan, Sindh and Lahore City Center for visa matter.
